Frequently asked questions |
The
following FAQ's should answer most of your
questions. If not, let us know what your
question is, and we will put it on. |
|
|
How much does it cost? |
Nothing.
The website offer is for members or new
members of the
Australian Horror Writers Association (AHWA).
Our vision is to give Australian horror
and dark fiction a voice. The more
voices, the louder we can shout.
However, extra costs may be incurred if
you purchase graphics for your site or
additional resources. |
|
|
Can I have a dot com address? |
The website offer does not include a dot
com address, or any other address
because you have to pay for it. However,
it has been set up so that if you do
purchase a dot com address of your own,
the DNS can be pointed to your free
website. If you want to customise your
address free of charge, check out
www.freedomain.co.nr. |
|
|
Can I update my site? |
No. AHWA has all websites centrally
stored. Members cannot access their
site. The intellectual property of the
site remains with AHWA. |
|
|
Can I link the site to my blog? |
When creating your site, you should
submit a Microsoft Word document which
contains all relevant information. If
you want to link to your blog, please
say so in the relevant section of the
document. For example, if you wanted one
of your links to go to your blog, then
illustrate this in the document.
Remember, the internet link will be
required. |
|
|
I created a site but want a new template |
Your site is created free and in good
faith. One site per person. AHWA does
not have the resources to continually
create and update internet sites, as
much as we want to. So, the best advice,
is to get the template right first time. |
|
|
I want to use one of my links for a short story |
Then send me the story in the body of
the Microsoft Word document, fully
formatted and checked. If you notice an
error later on, tough. |
|
|
Do I keep the site forever? |
No. Only members of AHWA are entitled to
a web site. When you are removed as a
member, your web site will be deleted. |
